The
Aprilia RSV Mille was introduced in 1998 and it benefitted from
careful development prior to its release. The engine has proved
itself to be strong and reliable, and has found its way into
a number of Aprilia's other bikes.
The engine of the RSV Mille is a 60 degree, 998 cc, V-Twin producing
around 130 horsepower, giving the bike a top speed of around
170 mph.
The frame of the Aprilia RSV Mille is an aluminium twin spar
unit which offers stiffness, while the compact engine allows
for a short wheelbase. This, combined with high-set footpegs,
a slender profile and fully adjustable footpegs gives the RSV
Mille superb handling characteristics both in the corners and
on the straights.
