Power for the Aprilia 650 Pegaso Strada comes from a liquid cooled, four valve, single cylinder, four stroke, with advanced electronic fuel injection designed for brilliant performance, low fuel consumption and, of course, extremely low emissions. The result is a machine that is fantastic to ride under all conditions.

A compact, single spar, steel frame makes up the 650 Pegaso Strada’s backbone. Despite its extremely lightweight, it delivers standard-setting rigidity as well as easy access for maintenance purposes.

Great care has been taken over suspension calibration to combine road holding and comfort. The 650 Strada is equipped with a robust fork with the largest diameter stanchions in its class (45 mm). Wheel travel is 140 mm. This fork provides the best possible compromise between easy riding, braking control and comfort.

The aluminium alloy wheels copy the wheel design of the RSV 1000 R Factory supersports for an even more aggressive look. Wide rimmed wheels and large, road-going tyres (110/70 at the front, 160/60 at the rear) provide plenty of support for the 650 Pegaso’s refined chassis. Great tyre grip and an extended area of ground contact guarantee a sensational ride in total safety.

The front brake features a mighty 320 mm floating disc with a four-pot calliper, for the sort of braking power and control normally only found on supersport machines. This powerful front brake is assisted by a 240 mm disk, with a floating calliper at the rear.

The Pegaso 650 Strada is equipped with top quality, prestige components, such as the sports style, analog/digital instrumentation with on-board computer to display all the infos about engine diagnostics, variable gear-change threshold, fuel gauge, water temperature, battery meter, engine immobiliser, user programmable emergency start code.

The 650 Pegaso Strada has two storage compartments, one in the top of the tank and one under the seat. There is also provision for fitting an elastic luggage net over the passenger seat to carry more equipment on holiday.

Two are the colour schemes, which enhance the dynamic looks of the 650 Pegaso Strada: Sunset Red and the aggressive Aprilia Black.

External review by Stewart Palmer
Aprilia 650 Pegaso Strada - Constant problems with fuel supply, bike cuts out randomly and regulary, Aprilia South Africa are not able to resolve the problem and at this stage they have replaced the fuel pump, or so they say, 3 times. The bike is exremely dangerous to ride and when it cuts out and is hot, it is unable to start. I would appreciate feedback from any other Pegaso owner who have had this problem or were able to resolve the problem, as this problem seems to be common and not isolated as in my case. The price for a fuel pump installed, R9000.00 South African rand, considering new price of bike R 69000.00 South African rand.
