The Aprilia Moto 6.5 was designed for Aprilia by the famous
industrial designer Philippe Starck.
It offers an unusual blend of both classic and, for the nineties
anyway, modern styling.
Power for the Aprilia Moto 6.5 came from a Rotax 649cc single
cyclinder engine. Despite its size it wasn't particularly powerful
and anyone looking for something speedy will be sorely dissapointed
with the Moto 6.5's lack of pace.
However it wasn't really designed to be a performance machine.
More of a cruiser to be seen on and get admiring glances.
Despite having such a well respected designer, the Aprilia Moto
6.5 isn't the best engineered bike, and there are some quality
issues.
Altogether though, the bike offers something a bit different.
And second hand prices for what is sure to be a future classic
are very reasonable.
