The
Ferrari F355 was the sucessor to the Ferrari 348 model range. The first Ferrari F355
Berlinetta went on show at the 1994 Geneva Motor Show. The body
of the F355 was styled by Pininfarina and had a similar and
layout and proportions to the 348. Under the rear hatch was
a 3.5 litre V8 developing around 375 horsepower. The engine
of the Ferrari F355 was one of the most advanced of its time,
with 5 valves per cylinder (2 exhaust and 3 inlet), titanium
conrods, and an electronic management system.
Standar features of the Ferrari F355 included ABS brakes, power
steering, electric windows, dual airbags, and air conditioning.
Later versions of the Ferrari F355 included the convertible
Spyder and targa-top GTS. The F1 version featured a race bred
paddle shift transmission.
