The Ferrari 456 GT marked the return of the front engined grand
touring Ferrari. The 456 GT was designed to be more practical
and provide more interior space than mid-engine supercars could
offer.
Power for the 456 GT came from a 5.5 litre V12 developing 435
horsepower, giving the car a 0-60 mph time of around 5 seconds
and a top speed around 190 mph.
The Ferrari 456 GT was far more usable on a daily basis than
most other super cars, helped by the fact the 456 could accomodate
4 persons in comfort and provide the driver with excellent all
round visibility. Pininfarina did a great job of wrapping the
Ferrari 456 GT in a gorgeous body which was both subtle, and
distinguished.
