The Morgan Aero SuperSports was developed to mark the Centenary
of Morgan as an automotive manufacturer.
The Aero SuperSports, designed by Matthew Humphries (see also
Morgan Aeromax),
was developed and engineered in house by Morgan at their facility
in Malvern, England. The Aero SuperSports is a development of
the Morgan AeroMax coupe, and is essentially the convertible
version.
The Morgan Aero SuperSports is a lightweight aluminium sports
car with classic styling, modern technology and a luxurious
interior. The car uses two aluminium detachable roof panels
which, when detached, turn the car from a coupe into a roadster.
The panels can be stored in the rear cargo compartment.
The SuperSports benefits from the lightweight aluminium Aero
chassis which is bonded for added rigidity. This structure also
exceeds global crash protection standards and is currently used
on the Aero Eight GT3 race car.
Powering the Morgan Aero SuperSports is a BMW-sourced 4.8 litre
V8 which sends its power to the rear wheels through a 6 speed
manual or automatic transmission to the rear wheels.
The interior of the Aero SuperSports features a combination
of polished hardwoods, hand stitched leather and electronic
technology to create a driving environment that is efficient,
ergonomic and luxurious.
