The 2008 Jaguar XKR-S is a limited production version of the XKR. Limited to just 200 units the XKR-S features a variety of enhancements designed to improve the cars performance and style.

The engine itself is untouched, and is the same 4.2 litre supercharged V8 found in the standard XKR. The 19 mph increase in top speed is due to a higher limiter setting, not more power. However a range of chassis enhancements has improved the cars handling characteristics.

Just like the XKR, the XKR-S uses the same highly capable and lightweight all-aluminium monocoque body as a base for the improvements.

The Jaguar XKR-S features revised suspension with new springs, dampers, anti-roll bar and recalibrated Computer Active Technology Suspension (CATS).

Alcon R Performance brakes with red monobloc six-piston callipers and 400mm brake discs at the front, 350mm at the rear improve the stopping power.

Exterior styling revisions for the 2008 Jaguar XKR-S include a front air-splitter and side sill-extensions, revised rear spoiler and rear bumper with unique diffuser panel and unique 20" lightweight Vortex alloy wheels. The XKR-S is available in one color, Ultimate Black metallic with contrasting finish to the grille, sills, side power vents and rear diffuser.

Inside the Jaguar XKR-S a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system, featuring low distortion Kevlar mid-range speakers and aluminium dome speakers can be found. This is complimented by a soft leather interior upgrade borrowed from the XKR Portfolio edition.
