The Jaguar XK180 was a design study from 1997 which received
worldwide acclaim for its flowing graceful lines.
The XK180's handmade aluminium body was based on a shortened
XKR chassis and powered by a supercharged
and intercooled 450 bhp V8 engine.
Designed by Chief Jaguar stylist Kieth Helfet, the press,
and public, thought the XK180 might be the 'F-type'
- spiritual successor to the legendary E-type, but it
was not to be and the XK180 remained just a concept.
