The basic Ford Puma was a front-engined, front-wheel-drive,
2+2 sports coupe sold in Europe from 1997 - 2002.
The UK-only Ford Racing Puma was created in a limited run of
just 500 by Tickford, a UK based Ford tuning company. The Ford
Racing Puma was powered by a modified version of the 1.7 Zetec-SE
engine. Other changes to the standard Puma included a wider
track front and rear, larger race-spec Alcon discs with 4 piston
calipers up front, rear disc brakes, Sparco race seats, blue
Alcantara trim, and 17" Speedline wheels. All 500 Ford Racing
Puma's were painted the same color, Ford Imperial Blue.
