The V8 powerplant in the BMW 650i Coupe develops 360 bhp from
a capacity of 4.8 liters, the engine is mated to either a 6
speed manual or six-speed Sport Automatic transmission riving
the rear wheels. The driver controls the Sport Automatic by
means of an electronic gear selector lever, moving the lever
briefly to the left from position D in order to activate the
manual gearshift mode. This allows the driver to shift gears
manually in sequential mode either via the gear selector lever
or by means of paddles on the steering wheel.
The BMW 6 Series stands for a heritage of no less than 70 years
