The
Confederate C120 Renaissance Fighter is a strictly limited edition
model of which only 45 will be produced. Unveiled for the 2008
Neiman Marcus Christmas Book the C120 Renaissance Fighter is
one of the most exclusive, and at $110,000, one of the most
expensive motorcycles ever to go on sale.
Based on the same basic architecture as the Confederate B120
Wraith, the Renaissance Fighter features both cosmetic and engineering
upgrades. The engine is a 1,966 cc, 45 degree, radial twin with
forged lightweight pistons, CNC aircraft billet aluminum heads
and a Confederate "Combat" design Dual countershaft
balance system. This engine is mated to a 5-speed close ratio
transmission with belt drive.
The chassis of the Confederate C120 Renaissance Fighter consists
of a titanium backbone and billet aluminium front and rear bulkheads.
At the front is a girder-type billet aluminum and titanium multi-link
suspension system with centered coil-over shock and dual carbon
fiber blades. The LED headlights and turn signals are cleverly
integrated into the girder uprights. At the rear is a drag-race
inspired suspension design which features an aluminium swingarm
and long travel coil over shock absorber.
Braking on the C120 Renaissance Fighter is done with an aircraft-grade
billet aluminum 4 piston caliper gripping an aluminum-ceramic
lightweight disc at the front. At the rear is a 2 piston caliper
and lightweight rotor.
