The Sentori 50 L is the sister ship to the Sentori
50 R. Both yachts were designed by motion
code: blue, and both share the same hull design, but offer
different deck and flybridge layout options.
The Sentori 50 L is 50 feet (15.3 m) long with a 16.4 foot (5.0
meter) beam. Power comes from two inboard engines generating
a total of 1,800 horsepower.
The Sentori 50 L has a few more amenities than the 50 R. There's
a large 8 person dining table located at the rear of the vessel
on the main deck, while on the flybridge there's been numerous
changes. Firstly the stairs have been relocated to the left
side, and instead of a large sunlounger there is a seating area
and dining table. The small galley kitchen with wet bar and
refrigerator on the flybridge remains in place, but in addition
there is a large flat screen television mounted just behind
the drivers seat. This television rises out of a protective
weatherproof cabinet, and can be used for gaming or watching
TV and DVDs. When seated up on the flybridge, the driver is
met with an advanced instrument console which can also be safely
retracted into the bodywork to protect it when not in use.
The large windows of the Sentori 50 L are designed to help fill
the interior with natural light and stop the interior spaces
from feeling claustrophobic. The shape of the windows, and indeed
the entire deck structure was influenced by automotive design.
The designers have used visual tricks, like hidden pillars behind
the glass, to create a seemingly continuous expanse of windows
which wrap around the vessel. To bring extra light directly
into the centre of the 50 L there is a sunlight which runs in
a strip at the very front of the flybridge.
At the stern there is a swimming platform which also houses
a small integrated paddling pool for children. When not in use
the pool is covered over and blends neatly into the decking.
On days when the sun gets a bit too hot, there's a retractable
sunshade which electronically slides out of the rear of the
flybridge to cover the dining table and swimming platform below.
The Sentori 50 L is being constructed in Taiwan by Albatross
Yachts and Composite Ltd.
