The
Volkswagen Beetle RSi was made in limited numbers, 250 units,
between 2001 to 2003.
The Beetle RSi was powered by a 3.2 litre V6 developing 225
horsepower mated to Volkswagen's 4motion 6-speed all-wheel-drive
transmission.
The Volkswagen Beetle RSi featured a track-biased suspension
setup tuned by Porsche and a Remus twin-exit performance exhaust.
Compared to the standard Volkswagen Beetle the RSi had 80 mm
wider arches, more aggressive front and rear bumpers, a rear
diffuser, rear wing,
and 18" OZ superturismo alloy wheels.
Inside the Volkswagen Beetle RSi were Recaro front seats, and
the interior was trimmed in carbon
fiber, aluminium and orange leather.
