The MG TF was essentially a comprehensive facelift for the MG
F. The name revived the TF moniker which was originally
used on the MG TF from 1953 - 1955.
The most significant mechanical updates for the MG TF conventional
coil springs instead of the Hydragas suspension used on the
MG F.
Power was also increased due to a new air induction system and
new camshafts. The torsional stifness of the body was also improved
by around 20%.
Stylewise the MG TF recieved new headlights, and revised front
grille and bumpers.
The MG TF was the first car of its class to be awarded a 4-star
safety performance from Euro NCAP.
