To mark the end of Roger Becker's time at Lotus Cars as Director
of Vehicle Engineering, the company has created two special
edition models as a good-bye present. He actually left in January
2010, but I suppose better late than never.
Roger Becker said of the project, "I am honored that
Lotus has named these two special editions after me, especially
as it allows me to offer the customer my favorite specifications.
The past 44 years have been an incredible journey and I'm looking
forward to watching Lotus progress in the future, I have no
doubt that the company will continue to go from strength to
strength."
The two models on offer are the Elise SC RGB and Exige S RGB.
They are also set to be the last versions of the European-market
Elise SC and Exige S powered
by the Toyota-sourced 1.8 litre 4-cylinder engine - as it isn't
compliant with the tighter Euro 5 emissions standards.
