The unstoppable Ford Mustang coupe was reincarnated yet
again back in 2003 with a retro inspired design.
The 2003 Mustang concept fully addressed the problems
with 'soft' mustangs from the 90's by returning to the
cars essence. The 2003 Mustang concept draws heavily on
the Mustangs from the late 1960's for design cues.
The 2003 Ford Mustang concept was bigger than the previous
model with the cabin pushed further to the rear exaggerating
the already large bonnet. The rear lights and fascia of
the Mustang concept are almost identical to the 1960s
rear light clusters, as are the front headlights with
their round, recessed mounting.
The interior of the Mustang concept is more up to date
with a truly modern feel, billet aluminium the material
of choice.
Additional Information: With the arrival of the 2006 concept
Dodge
Challenger and Chevrolet
Camaro, the American muscle car race of the 60's seems
likely to be replayed in the 21st century.
