The Sport Trac Adrenalin showcased Fords plans to produce
the first sport truck offering a combination of utility,
four-passenger capability and true performance.
With a supercharged, 390-horsepower V-8, the first six-speed
automatic ever featured in an SVT vehicle and an SVT-tuned
fully independent suspension, the Adrenalin promised the
acceleration, agility and utility that made the legendary
Ford SVT F-150 Lightning the best-selling, longest-running
performance truck ever.
In February 2006, Ford decided as part of their cost cutting
measures to axe the Sport Trac Adrenaline project. It
will not be a production model.
