Ford's striking 2003 concept car, the MA, was intended
purely as a design exercise with no intention of going
into production.
The horizontal surfaces of the MA are constructed from
bamboo slats, which are a stark contrast to the machined
metal chassis members running down the sides.
If the Ford MA were to go on sale it would be sold as
a kit, and the simple construction would be performed
by the owner. The MA is powered by an electric motor.
