An infrared hand held paint dryer is a tool used to help speed up the drying process of automotive paint and clear coat. The extra heat which is generated can also help to smooth out the 'orange peel' effect which can sometimes occur in clear coat. Infrared hand held paint dryers do not move air - like a heat gun does - so it does not blow dust or particles into the paint as it is drying.
