An air belt sander is a tool which is often used for shaping and finishing bodywork. Air belt sanders are ideal for awkward angles and body contours.

Air belt sanders are powered by pressurised air, and usually consist of a handle with a thumb operated lever for controlling the speed, and a drive mechanism for housing the sanding belt and air driven motor.

Air belt sanders can be used with different grades and coarses of sanding belts for different sanding jobs.
