On the 29th October 2009, Mitsubishi released this single sketch which is designed to preview an upcoming all-new on-road Compact Crossover. Judging by the single image it should be a decent looking little SUV - if maybe a little generic.

The as-yet unnamed vehicle will go on sale at the beginning of 2010. Sales will start in Japan first before moving to other markets.

The vehicle's styling has been derived from the Mitsubishi Concept-cx from 2007, and is the latest product of Mitsubishi's midsize global platform ("Project Global").

While the drivetrain information and specifications have not been released at this time, Mitsubishi has made it clear that the vehicle will feature a low emission unit. Mitsubishi even go as far as to call the new compact crossover a "game changer". Quite how much of that statement is marketing hype remains to be seen.
