The SportSub II is a two-person submersible built by the IVC
Corporation. The SportSub II is the lightest, smallest and cheapest
model in the company's SportSub range.

IVC has been building these 1, 2, 3, and 6 person SportSub submersibles
since 1986, and has produced more than 200 submarines in that

What are these submarines being used for? The Olympic Organizing
Committee purchased 4 units for security and surveillance; many
of the largest yachts in the world have SportSubs aboard as
yacht toys; fire rescue teams in Brazil use them for search
and rescue; also for tourist rides in the Caribbean and on the
