I loved my 215 hp 2006 GTX Limited for the almost 3 years that we were able
to ride it. It was insanely fast. It would outrun a 255 hp RXT-X on top end (it
would beat me from the start but I would catch up to it & pass it). Not even 3
years old & while riding @ full speed @ 8000 RPM, the engine decided to throw a
rod cap straight through the block. 3 years later, it's still sitting in the back
yard. A new engine cost about $5 grand & then another $1,000 in labor to replace
it. You would think that a $14k vehicle would have more than a 1 year warranty. Come
to find out, Sea-Doo later offered an extended warranty. Too bad we didn't get the
chance to get that warranty.
