The
23E from Epic Wakeboats located in San Diego, California is
a variation on their 23V model.
What makes the 23E so special is its hybrid propulsion system
which produces over 50% fewer carbon dioxide emissions than
a conventional, similar performance watercraft.
Because of the hybrid system there's no worry that the batteries
will run out in the middle of the water, once the power levels
drop, the internal combustion engine kicks in to act as a generator
and top them back up. The Epic 23E can run for up to 3 hours
on batteries alone, or up to 1 hour if it's being used on full
power for wakeboarding.
Once back at the dock the batteries can be fully recharged within
one hour by using the onboard generator. Or alternatively it
can be plugged into a standard wall socket.
