The Hamann San Diego Express is built on a Porsche 911 GT3. This specially constructed car features a variety of cosmetic and mechanical enhancements, many of which are available for fitment to any 911 Carrera and Turbo of the 996 model.

The most striking of the exterior changes made to the San Diego Express are the gullwing doors, these lift up on an outboard stainless steel hinge fixed above the outside mirrors, and are supported by a specially fitted gas damper.

The rest of the exterior is fitted with an extensive bodykit which includes; the revised front apron providing cooling air to the brakes, engine and radiator, new headlight covers, front spoiler, sideskirts, extended rear arches, carbon fibre roof (with air intake), rear spoiler and rear valence.

The Hamann San Diego Express is fitted with 19" wheels all round, offered in two different styles.
The adjustable Hamann suspension and anti-roll bars are designed to work with the enlarged wheel and tire combination.

Engine modifications made to the Hamann San Diego Express have taken peak horsepower to 412 and maximum torque is now 405 Nm @ 6,830. This has been achieved with the addition of high performance pistons, a modified cylinder block, four high performance camshafts, an induction kit, and Hamann's stainless steel sports exhaust.
