The 2007 Volvo C70 is a two-door, coupe-cabriolet featuring
a three piece retractable metal hardtop which stows in the rear
luggage compartment. The top raises or lowers in under 30 seconds.
The top-spec Volvo C70, the T5, is powered by a 2.5 litre 5
cylinder turbocharged engine producing 220 horsepower and 320
Nm of torque driving the front wheels. 0-60 mph is achieved
in 7 seconds with a top speed of 150 mph.
The exterior design of the Volvo C70 is subdued yet stylish
with a chunky, bold stance able to hold its own against rivals
like the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, and Saab 9-3 Aero. Although
the C70 is perhaps more suited to long jouneys and touring than
its rivals.
Like any Volvo, the C70 prides itself on safety - and with dual
stage driver and passenger airbags, side impact protection airbags,
door mounted inflatable curtains, a whiplash protection system
and roll over protection the C70 is one of the safest convertibles
on the market.
As standard fitment, all Volvo C70s come with climate control,
alloy wheels (18" optional), stability control, electric
windows, cruise control, steering wheel stereo controls, CD
player and front foglamps.
