The MINI John Cooper Works (JCW) is the company's hottest hot
hatch. It's available in three different bodystyles, MINI original,
convertible and clubman.
The car get a combination of power and performance upgrades,
as well as a range of cosmetic and aerodynamic enhancements.
The bodywork is jazzed up with a range of chrome accents and
a few extra vents, and the car is fitted with a standard roof
spoiler. This spoiler is designed to increase downforce, and
there are several other spoiler options available in the MINI
John Cooper Works Tuning range if you don't like the standard
unit.
Mounted up front is a tweaked and reworked version of the MINI
Cooper's 1.6 litre 4 cylinder engine. Now the engine produces
211 hp @ 6,000 rpm and allows for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint
in just 6.5 seconds. Top speed is an impressive 148 mph.
Just like the exterior the interior of the MINI John Cooper
Works gets a load of additional extras and racy bits and pieces.
Many are fully customizable to get a unique look. Most apparent
are the sports seats which look like they have come straight
out of a top-end sports car. Also helping give the interior
a racing appearance is the option for Alcantara trim, sports
steering wheel, piano black standard trim, and stainless steel
pedals.
