The Zenvo ST1 is an extremely rare Danish supercar - in total
only 15 are scheduled to be built.
Unlike many new sports car companies who start out with small
and basic models before graduating into genuine supercar territory,
Zenvo chose to jump in at the deep end and offer a car with
truly spectacular performance claims.
Powering the Zenvo ST1 is a mid-mounted, supercharged and turbocharged,
7.0 litre V8 mated to a six speed manual transmission driving
the rear wheels. This engine produces a genuinely mind-blowing
1,104 horsepower at 6,900 rpm and and 1,056 lb-ft (1430 Nm)
of torque at just 4,500 rpm. Zenovo claim that when the car
is delivered to customers it will hit 62 mph (100km/h) in just
3.0 seconds and go onto a hit an electronically limited 232
mph (375 km/h) top speed. The prototype Zenvo ST1 currently
undergoing testing and development has achieved a 0-60 time
of 3.2 seconds so the claims are looking quite feasible.
To help bring the ST1 to a halt the car uses ventilated 380
mm discs and 6 piston calipers up front, and ventilated 355
mm discs again gripped by 6 piston calipers at the rear. If
that doesn't seem like enough then there is the option to have
394 mm ceramic discs and 8 piston calipers fitted.
The Zenvo ST1 is constructed using a steel frame structure covered
with lightweight carbon fibre body panels. The styling of the
ST1 is contemporary, striking and aggressive, and thankfully
quite unique. The lateral air intakes running down the doors
and into the rear arches really suit the overall shape of the
car and provide air to the mid-mounted engine which is visible
under the rear window.
The Zenvo ST1 is equipped with a comprehensive range of performance
enhancing and safety equipment including traction control, speed
sensitive power steering and hydraulic front suspension for
negotiating speed bumps.
The interior of the Zenvo ST1 is also well equipped and offers
many luxury features including; dual zone climate control, driver
and passenger airbag, cruise control, keyless entry, electrically
adjustable racing seats, leather and alcantara trim, CD MP3
player, adjustable racing steering wheel, 3 mode drive settings,
auto adjustable rearview mirror, and perhaps most impressive
of all is the heads-up display with G-force meter. |
