Dutch
supercar manufacturer Spyker, originally named Spijker, was
formed in 1898 by Jacobus and Hendrik-Jan Spijker, coachbuilders
based in Amsterdam, the old company collapsed in 1925. Spyker
returned in the new millennium with a line up of Supercars for
both the street and race track. Powered by Audi 4.1-liter V-8
engines tuned to produce between 400 and 525 horsepower Spykers
are genuine supercars.
Incidentally, apparently it is nearly impossible to pronounce
Spyker correctly (try Spay-kuhr, but that's still not it) unless
you are Dutch.
