The 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLC-Class is a restyled and renamed version
of the previous generation C-Class Coupe, and both cars share
the same basic platform.
The CLC-Class features over 1,100 new or updated parts over
its predecessor, including a direct steering system for improved
handling and a new entertainment and information system.
The Mercedes-Benz CLC-Class is available with six different
engine choices, four petrol and two diesel. The entry-level
CLC180 Kompressor (143 bhp) and CLC200 Kompressor (184 bhp)
are driven by four-cylinder engines. While the higher-spec CLC230
manages 204 horsepower from a 2.4-litre V6, and the flagship
CLC350 version offers 268 horsepower from a 3.5 litre V6. The
CLC350 is capable of hitting 60 mph in 6.3 seconds.
The two diesel models are the CLC200 CDI (122 bhp) and CLC220
CDI (150 bhp).
