Mega
is the motorsport division of the French company, the Aixam
Group. Their first car, the Mega Track only saw five examples
produced before the Monte Carlo arrived.
The Mega Monte Carlo came about after Mega acquired MCA, the
Monte Carlo Automobile company (see MCA Centenaire).
First displayed at the 1996 Geneva Motor Show, the Mega Monte
Carlo featured a carbon
fiber chassis and a mid-mounted Mercedes V12 with close
to 400 horsepower.
A production version of the Mega Monte Carlo appeared two years
later with the option of carbon-ceramic brakes and a rear spoiler.
