The McLaren F1 GT was the final variant of the McLaren F1. The
F1 GT was developed to achieve downforce matching that of the
McLaren F1 LM, but with less drag. To achieve this balance,
the F1 GT featured extended front bodywork and a redesigned
rear-deck profile.
With sleek, aggressive bodywork and dramatic new wheel-arch
louvres the McLaren F1 GT is probably the most striking version
of the F1 roadcar.
Powering the McLaren F1 GT is a hand-built McLaren BMW S 70/2
6.1-litre V12 engine which develops 627 horsepower @ 7,500 rpm,
and 651 Nm (480 lb/ft) of torque @ 5,600 rpm.
The F1 GT Featured a redesigned interior, upholstered in fine
Connolly leather and Alcantara suede. The model also had air
conditioning, electric windows, Kenwood CD player and central
locking.
In total only 3 examples of the McLaren F1 GT were produced,
making it the rarest version of the McLaren F1.
