Lucra Cars, based out of Los Angeles, California have revealed
the specifications and details of their 2010 LC470 sports/racing
car.
Available in four different states of insanity, the base LC470
is powered by a 375 horsepower 5.7 litre carburetor V8, then
it moves up to a 400 horsepower, fuel injected 5.7 litre V8.
From there things start to get interesting. The penultimate
model is motivated by a 550 horsepower 6.3 litre V8. The top-spec
model is equipped with a 630 horsepower 7.0 litre V8. All versions
are fitted with a Tremec TKO600 RR 5-speed automatic transmission
sending the power to the rear wheels.
Although Lucra haven't released the performance numbers for
the 630 hp beast, it must be ludicrously fast because the 400
hp version - according to Lucra - will hit a 180 + mph top speed
and get to 60 mph in comfortably under 4 seconds.
The carbon fibre body work of the LC470 is based around a CNC
manufactured, powder coated tubular steel chassis.
The fully adjustable suspension setup consists of unequal length
a-arms with coilover shocks at the front, and five link independent
suspension with a lightweight composite spring at the rear.
Urethane bushes are used throughout for more precise handling.
The interior of the Lucra LC470 is surprisingly well designed
and tailored for a low volume, little-known manufacturer. In
fact the simplistic design with a single-piece flat instrument
panel, wide and uncluttered center console and sporty little
low-rise bucket seats are a perfect match for the old-world
styling of the exterior.
