The Aspid is a two seat sports car created by IFR Automotive,
a small British manufacturer founded by Spanish engineer Ignacio
Fernandez Rodriquez.
The IFR Automotive Aspid is a lightweight, lotus 7-esque sports
car built from aluminium and composite materials. This feather
weight construction means the car tips the scales at just 700
kgs (1550 lbs).
Powering the Aspid is a 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine. This
unit is available in either naturally aspirated or supercharged
versions, developing 270 hp and 400 hp respectively. The transmission
is handled by a 6 speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels.
Equipped with the supercharged engine, the Aspid is capable
of hitting 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, going on to a regulated
top speed of 155 mph.
