The
extroverted little Dare DZ is another lightweight sports car
from the UK. First shown at the 1998 Birmingham Motor Show,
the Dare DZ went into production shortly after. Offered in two
styles, a coupe and a convertible, the Dare DZ is powered by
a 130 bhp, 2.0 litre Ford Zetec running through a 5 speed gearbox.
However if desired this can be taken up a notch with the addition
of a Rotrex supercharger, taking power up to 210 bhp.
The mid mounted engine sits in the tubular steel chassis and
all is covered by the composite bodywork. Except the front wheels,
which are covered by individual mudguards
