The
Bolwell Nagari is an Australian 2-seat sports car powered
by a Toyota sourced 3.5 litre V6.
The model marks the return of the Nagari name which was used
by Bolwell in the 70's. As intended by its creator Campbell
Bolwell, the styling also pays homage to the original Nagari,
particularly in the rising, curvaceous hip line and the tunnel-back
rear window.
The chassis of the 2009 Bolwell Nagari consists of a unitary
construction carbon-fibre passenger cell with lightweight
front and rear subframes holding the drivetrain and suspension
components. The composite body panels feature extensive carbon
fiber reinforcement.
Powering the Bolwell Nagari is a mid-mounted, naturally aspirated,
3.5 litre, all-alloy, V6 which produces 295 hp @ 6,200 rpm,
and 345 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm. Currently in development
is a higher spec supercharged engine.
The interior of the Bolwell Nagari is pretty luxurious and
features two body-forming adjustable Recaro seats, leather
and suede trim and air conditioning.
