The E30 M3, which was the first iteration of the M3, is often
considered to be the purest car BMW's M Division have ever produced.
Light, hardcore and uncompromising with outstanding steering
feedback and balance, the E30 M3 is one of the most driver orientated
cars money can buy. To this day there are few cars which can
match the E30 M3 for driver involvement and reward.
Powering the E30 M3 is a 2.3 litre inline 4-cylinder engine
which pumps out 220 horsepower. By todays standards the 144
mph top speed and 0-60 mph time of 6.7 seconds look quite tame
for a top-end German sports saloon, but at the time it was sensational.
