The Bentley Continental GTC, and GT, are special edition models
which feature new interior colors and options.
The Series 51 is named after the year that the first official
Bentley styling department was established. Started by John
Blatchley, who shaped the original and 1950s Bentley Continentals.
Every Series 51 car will feature a highly-distinctive interior
colour palette and unique exterior design cues.
Series 51 cars also feature several unique interior details
including the use of non-indented hide for diamond quilting,
contrast piping for the seats and doors as well as bespoke Series
51 treadplates.
The exterior of the Continental GTC Series 51 is also different
to the standard car. The standard wheels have been dropped in
favor of unique 20", 14-spoke polished wheels with contrasting
dark centre caps.
The paintwork of the Series 51 is available in a two-tone configuration.
This highly distinctive color split (with one color running
over the bonnet, roof and flowing down to the boot) is a classic
design used on many sporting Bentleys of the past.
While the Series 51 edition is essentially just an extra styling
option for the Continental GTC and GT models, at least it does
actually improve the look of the car and give the customer additional
material and color options. Unlike some 'special edition' models
from other manufacturers which actually reduce the buyers choices
for a premium price.
