The
Bentley Continental GTC is the convertible version of their
successful Continental GT coupe. The luxury 2+2 convertible
completes the Bentley Continental model range consisting of
the Continental GT from 2003, and Continental Flying Spur
from 2005.
The Continental GTC has an impressive top speed in excess
of 190mph (304 km/h), similar to the Continental GT, and uses
a sophisticated all-wheel drive system driven by a state of
the art W12 engine.
Like all Bentley motor cars the interior of the new Continental
GTC displays a high level of craftsmanship, utilising natural
wood veneers and leather hides of the finest quality. The
convertible soft top has a heated rear glass window and when
down stores neatly away leaving plenty of room for the rear
passengers and luggage.
Bentleys design director Dirk van Braeckel talking about
the Continental GT says: "With the Continental GTC we
set out to achieve a style that is both contemporary and elegant
but with the sporting stance of a true performance car. We
also wanted to ensure that the Continental GTC looks just
as beautiful with the roof up as it does when its down".
Bentley hopes the Continental GTC will attract new customers
who desire a luxury, sports convertible, a market sector they
had previously unexplored, while also giving previous Bentley
owners the chance to upgrade their hardtop GT's.
