I own a Kawasaki ZRX1200, It's a fun bike to ride, has the ripping
power of a sportbike and yet the upright riding position of
a Harley. Don't get me wrong, just 'cause this is a naked bike
don't be fooled into thinking that it's slow.
One time on my way to the cottage I decided to take my Kawi,
I could literally go 160 KPH (100 mph) down the winding roads
and still ride in control and comfort. It is amazing what power
is available from the bike for the price.
I stopped on a hill and tried to do a speed test. Traveling
about a quarter mile up a hill from a dead stop I got it going
135 KPH (83 mph) with a couple more gears left to go!
The downsides of the bike are: I would pay a bit more to have
a throatier exhaust noise. I just wasn't hearing what I wanted
to. It sounded more like an enduro than a naked/sportbike. Also
they could of updated the design a little and placed the side
mirrors a bit further apart. Other than some minor imperfections
it was a decent bike. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the bike,
but it's not a bad idea to hop on and give one a try.
