The Ducati Monster S2R was a smaller version of the Monster
S4R. It featured the same stunning good looks and the same chassis,
and it remains one of the best looking naked bikes you can buy.
Despite its big bike looks, and decent-sized 803 cc V-twin motor,
the Ducati Monster S2R feels a bit underpowered a 77 horsepower.
Especially in comparison to the S4R.
The bike reeks, in a good way, of charisma. It's suspension
setup benefits from being harder than that of previous Monster
models. That said, its no naked sports bike.
The Ducati Monster S2R was also available as a cheaper level
"Dark" model. The Dark version, available in the now
classic matte black, includes the essential equipment, and features
rugged steel handlebars. This model does not include the sports
fairing and matching seat cover.
The Ducati Monster S2R isn't the most practical or easiest to
live with motorcycle. They require plenty of care and maintenance
to keep them at their best. That said, there isn't much out
there that can match them for appearance.
