> Ducati Monster 1200 R
The Ducati Monster 1200 R, which was introduced for the first time
at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, is the most powerful naked bike
from Ducati in the company's history.
The latest iteration of the iconic and long-lived Monster family is
powered by Ducati's Testastretta 11-degree DS twin-cylinder engine
which has been enhanced up to 'R' specification. Or to put it more
simply. It has 160 horsepower and 97 lb-ft of torque. Mainly thanks
to a higher compression ratio, larger 56 mm throttle bodies, and a
new exhaust in comparison to the already mighty Monster 1200 S.
To complement the additional power, the new Monster 1200 R has a revised
and enhanced chassis which consists of fully adjustable Ohlins suspension
and steering damping, a black 48 mm fork with titanium nitride coating
and a shock absorber with slightly longer stroke (7 mm / 0.3 in).
The brakes come from Brembo, and feature high-spec Monobloc evo M50
four-piston radial calipers.
Additional features of the Ducati Monster 1200 R include a redesigned
and lighter tail section, new wheels and a new TFT digital display.
