The Ducati Multistrada 620 is the smaller, entry level version
of the Multistrada 1000DS
Differences between the 620 and the larger 1000DS include a
smaller fuel tank and a more basic instrument panel. The reduction
in engine size also means a reduction in weight by 13 kgs (28
lbs).
Both bikes are based around the same steel trellis frame. However
the swingarm is different and the Multistrada 620 gets a simpler
double-sided unit.
The front suspension comes from Marzocchi 43 mm upside down
forks, while at the rear is a Sachs monoshock which is adjustable
for preload and damping.

Review by: Jake
I'm the proud owner of a yellow Ducati Multistrada 620. I bought
it at the begining of 2005 and still have it. It's a fun bike
to ride and I use it for touring. I got custom side saddlebags
fitted and a top storage box with a backrest. It has such a
smooth shifting transmission, even while shifting under heavy
accelleration. It has such good power and control blasting through
the cottage back road going 100mph!
It is my favorite sport tourer I've ever owned, especially with
the $1000 luggage and radio system hooked up. I love that bike
and always will.
