The Ducati Supersport 1000 DS is a motorcyle which somewhere
in the middle of being a sports bike and a tourer. It offers
easy handling, and torquey power delivery which is only spoilt
by jerky fuel injection at lower speeds.
                  The
Supersport 1000 DS, is based around a signature Ducati trellis
frame, and is powered by a 992 cc Dual Spark engine. The
chassis is more than capable of coping with the 84 horsepower
output of the engine and is one of the highlights of the bike.
                  Suspension
is provided by fully-adjustable, lightweight, 43 mm, Showa
front forks and an exclusive Öhlins fully-adjustable
                    rear shock.

The Ducati SuperSport DS is not the cheapest motorcycle to
run, and requires a pricey cambelt change every two years
or 12,000 miles. Resale values are low too, meaning its cheap
to buy a second hand one, just don't expect it to hold its
                    value.
