The
Bimota YB11 first appeared in 1996, and was powered by a 1002
cc 4-cylinder from the Yamaha Thunderace.
The Bimota YB11 was based around a twin spar frame carried forward
from the previous YB8 superbike. The suspension was handled
by Paioli forks up front, while braking came courtesy of Brembo
calipers.
The styling of the Bimota YB11 was greatly upgraded from the
the YB8, and incorporated flowing panels with a single headlight
unit. At the rear an interchangable seat unit allowed for either
a race-style single seat, or an additional pillion seat.
