The
Bimota V-Due was which was revealed in 1997 was powered by a
direct injection two-stroke engine providing better fuel economy
and less pollution. This made for a light, powerful engine which
also passed fuel emissions regulations.
The chassis of the Bimota V-Due comprised of an oval tube aluminium
frame with fully adjustable Paioli forks up front and an Ohlins
rear monoshock.
Unfortunately Bimota had problems with the engines fuel delivery
and the V-Due was discontinued in 1999.
