The
BMW K1300R is the replacement bike for the K1200R.
The K 1300 R is a pretty advanced machine, featuring anti-lock
brakes, traction control, optional electronic suspension adjustment
and optional clutchless push-button gearshifts.
The 1,293 cc inline four cylinder of the BMW K1300R develops
173 horsepower @ 9,250 rpm, and 140 Nm of torque @ 8,250 rpm.
The chassis is an aluminium beam unit with the engine acting
as as a load bearing unit. The front suspension comprises of
a BMW Duolever unit with central spring strut. At the rear is
a single sided swingarm.
The braking of the BMW K1300R is taken care of with twin 320mm
discs up front gripped by four-piston calipers. At the rear
is a single 265 mm disc and a two-piston caliper.
