The Qt Services Wildcat 300STR is advertised as a vehicle which
is; "...equally at home in the City of London as it
would be in the deserts of North Africa." - Now while
that might be a bit over the top for most people, whatever way
you look at it, the Wildcat 300STR is an impressive piece of
machinery.
I think the best way to explain the Wildcat 300STR is to think
of it as a sports car, but one which also happens to be incredibly
good at going over the rough stuff. Powered by a 4.0 litre Rover
V8 which produces 270 horsepower, the Wildcat 300STR can easily
surpass 100 mph. That doesn't sound like much, but that's 100
mph + over rough, untamed countryside. The sprint to 60 mph
is over in just 5.8 seconds - that's the same as a first generation
Lotus Elise.
The Qt Services Wildcat 300STR is almost unbreakable thanks
to its fully welded tubular steel chassis, and tough fiber glass
body panels which are completely corrosion resistant. The two
occupants are kept safe inside thanks to the integrated roll
cage, deep bucket seats and 5-point race harnesses.
While at first glance the Wildcat 300STR might seem a bit impractical,
Dave Marsh, head honcho at Qt Services, promises that it's anything
but. "If you consider that the 300STR is essentially
a two-seater, there are a number of options open to you and
this first production 300STR has been specified with rear storage
for the new owner's golf clubs. We'd love to be there when he
rocks up to the clubhouse and parks it next to the Astons and
Mercedes! Definitely a head-turner."
If the Wildcat 300STR sounds a little tame for you than Qt Services
also offer two competition variants, the 400NSR and the 500DKR.
