The Chevrolet Express is a heavy-duty, old-school cargo/passenger
van.
For 2011 the Chevrolet Express is available with five different
engine options, and either passenger or cargo configurations.
Express 1500 Passenger Van offers available All-Wheel Drive
(AWD) to provide a more sure-footed drive in inclement weather
and over rough terrain.
The selection of engines range from a fuel-sipping Vortec 4.3L
V6 engine with an EPA estimated 20 MPG highway, to a range of
Vortec V8 powerplants and a powerful Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel
V8.
Chevrolet's StabilTrack is standard and a locking differential
is available on all Express models (1500, 2500 and 3500). Working
in conjunction with the StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control
System, the new Trailer Sway Control feature senses trailer
sway and automatically applies the vehicle's brakes and reduces
engine power, if necessary, to help maintain stability.
OnStar 9.0 is standard on all passenger versions of the Chevrolet
Express. On cargo and cutaway models of the Express it's optional.
Digital radio is optional, with XM and Bluetooth available.
Mobile WiFi is a dealer installed option.
There's available seating for up to 15 people in Chevrolet Express
3500 Extended Wheelbase Passenger Van. Standard seating for
12 in 2500 and 3500 models, and seating for eight in the 1500
Passenger Van.
Chevrolet Express Cargo Vans, 1500, 2500 and 3500 regular cargo
vans have 239.7 cu. ft. of maximum cargo space, while 2500 and
3500 Extended Wheelbase models have a massive 284.4 cu. ft.
and up to 9,900 lbs of carrying capability.
The available Express Access Package includes three exterior,
remote-release side-access panels that allow access to the storage
areas without having to climb inside.
Chevrolet Express passenger vans and 1500 Cargo Vans come standard
with head-curtain side-impact air bags. These are available
as an option on the 2500 and 3500 Cargo Vans.
