The Gumball 3000 is a 3,000 mile 'legal' road race, usually
involving lots of police intervention.
The first Gumball 3000 was held in 1999, and each year a different
continent is the venue.
It is an opportunity for the super rich to spend 6 days driving
fast, partying hard and possibly crashing their exotic motors.
The idea for the race came from the famous Burt Reynolds movie
'Cannonball Run'.
